It’s easy to state that people have many different kinds of morning routines. They prefer to have routines in order to get as proper start for the day as possible.
When traveling around the world, it’s quite a challenge to keep up with routines. You move constantly from place to place and everything is new and unfamiliar. That’s kind of the opposite of having a routine.
But still, there is always something which you can influence along the journey. That would be you and your thoughts. So here is a Quick Peek at the Morning Routines of Flowing Firm.
Morning routines before getting up from the bed
First of all, before I’m even got up from the bed regardless of the current location, I want to do a couple of things. These four matters take a maximum of five minutes to do so it’s not about having the time.
Number one is saying my long-term goals. It can be quietly repeating those goals within my mind. Or if wife’s still in deep sleep (or even not there next to me for some reason), I can say those matters even loud out. And I usually do so 🙂
Secondly, I will think about the best thing that happened yesterday. It can be anything I did before getting to sleep from private life to work accomplishment.
Furthermore, I will decide three most important things to get done today. Usually, these things are very much work related. Those matters often are the ones needing a tiny push in order to get reached.
Finally, I say ‘Thank You’ and get up from the bed. This one is perhaps the most important one but it’s very easy just to forget to do. Try to say ‘Thank You’ as many times during the day as possible.
Next, let’s take a look at my morning routines after getting up from the bed.
Morning routines after getting up from the bed
There are three general points I’ll do immediately after getting up from the bed.
First, I take a quick one-minute stretching for all parts of the body in order to wake my muscles up. This part is a vital one. Since your muscle membranes get fasten to your muscles during the night, it’s more than important to get them open instantly after waking up.
Lack of stretching together with desk jobs are one of the reasons why people have so many odd muscle pains nowadays.
Moreover, after a little stretching session, I will take a strong probiotic pill on an empty stomach with a big glass of water. Probiotics help the stomach to work properly making your life a bit easier to live. Water is just a vital part of human body and it helps you to turn your engines on for the day.
Then, it’s time to begin to prepare healthy breakfast. I prefer listening to some inspirational podcast or audiobook at the same time from my iPhone or iPad. That will help my mind to get going as well.
At the moment my breakfast consists more or less following ingredients:
- Vegetable smoothie
- Sea salt
- Spring water
- Two fried or boiled eggs with onion and garlic
- Sometimes with Macaroon
- Tea and water with vitamins and supplements
Morning routines after breakfast
After the healthy breakfast, my morning routines are pretty much done. Now it’s time to open the laptop and start working on the first of the three main goals for the day.
Of course, I brush my teeth before getting to the professional part of my life…
When the first task is done, I’ll continue second one and third one. After doing and successfully reaching all the important goals, then there will be a correct time for everything else. These things include checking and replying emails and Facebook messages, etc. I’m sure you’ll get the point.
In many cases, it’s only 10 or 11 am at this point. If I choose so, I can go out and enjoy the day. Especially if we are traveling around, it’s wonderful to go and see new, fascinating places.
Back in Finland, I usually continue working with the work related matters till afternoon.
